I should, maybe must write down something here. Lots of movies and feelings surrounded me, only short of time. Ah, I'm so near about my time. Maybe you can call me a time grubber.
This is a new style for my favorite movies and songs, let me try and wish you like:
Babel (2003)--About youth, love and communication. I most like the movie structure. The story goes spiral-shaped and gathered to one point by the perfect cutting. What is the most precious thing in one's life? In my eyes, Adada is the brightest in the darkest night.
Crash (2004) --Easier said than done. Communication also only seems easier.
Butterfly Effect (2004) --It has been said that something as small as the flutter of a butterfly's wing can ultimately cause a typhoon halfway around the world. This called Chaos Theory. This movie told the story in a whole new way. Every time the boy back to his memory and a small change always result in mile away from his thought. Then the best way is not come to this world like the two dead babies before him. It's a kind of psychology movie, and I love this style. Maybe Memento (2000) is my next.
No country for old men (2007) --Hot movie, and successful in the Oscar Prize. I still remember first time I saw the movie I was confused and touched by it. After that it took me a long time to get out the feeling. No music, realistic scene style, proper rhythm, in a word there is good controlling force all around the movie.
Gone Baby Gone (2007) --Fiction story directed by Ben Affleck. Another movie acted by Morgan Freeman( the others I saw recently are Shawshank Redemption(1995) ,Bruce Almighty (2003) and Million Dollar Baby(2004) . We can't guess the result, moreover we even can't tell the right and wrong.
Into the Wild (2007) --It's the main reason I write this. This movie is adapted from a real story of Christopher McCandless. Christ love not man the less, but nature more. He seems to look for sth but really escaping off the family, which turned out to be his happiness. I want to read it if time permitted agree with that "Happiness is real when shared".
The day after tomorrow (2004) --A movie about climate disaster by ocean current changing. It is a prophecy in the future. I believe it will come sooner or later.
The Devil Wears Prada (2006) --A girl's dream and choice. Whether head or back when decision made, choice also made at the same time. There are lots of useful oral English and vivid living language in it. The movie is to the end, but it is still in my mind, the question I also asked myself which choice lead to my dream.
The Shawshank Redemption (1995) --The most classic movie of courage and hope, and I love this movie very much. I still remember the number of 37927, which is Andy's number as prisoner. Fear can hold you prisoner, hope can set you free. Some actor lines made ground breath to me."Keep busy living or keep busying dying.""Hope is a good thing, maybe the best things. And no good thing ever dies." I still learned a word "institutionalizing". That is the difference between Andy and Brooks. Prison Break (2006) must have referred to the Shawshank Redemption.
The Prestige (2006) --A story about pursuit and revenge in detective style. This is another good conception about twins.
Born on the Fourth of July (1989) --A good example of influence in social identity. When a man accepts sth, he will try his best to think its good side and ignore the other side. In my opinion, Tom Cruise did a good job in it. The confused feeling and the conflict expression are great. Either sacrifice bodies or minds make no sense in the war.
Howl's Moving Castle (2004) --Good drawing but poor plot.
Warriors of the Wind (1984) --This more than 21 year's old movie tell us a story about love and courage. If you have both of that, you could fly with the wind.
Mad Detective (2007) -The director show us a new way of interpreting people's complicated characters, you also can name it as split personality. In Chinese traditional culture, it is called monster in ones heart.
Night at the Museum (2006) --A lose dad, a good manager in the "night museum". It challenged people's imagination.
Wallace & Gromit in the Curse of the Were-Rabbit (2005) --Lovely dog is good boy.
Black Book(2006) --The background is the second world war, but the girls suffering some like the 1 in Lust, Caution(2007) or some1 betray in Internal Affairs I(2002) .
Donnie Darko (2001) --All is delusion. If...if..., if he didn't avoid the disaster, which is the real disaster. In some way, it's a cousin of Butterfly Effect (2004) . That is if not come to the world, all will be better.
Going By The Book(2007) --Meaningful distinguish Korea Movie. A serious man should act his roles from the beginning to the end. He did well.
Nanking (2007) --As a Chinese, I must know the real history. This film can remind us some truth. The Rape of Nanking by Iris Chang is my recommending as a further reading.
time permitting, I will write more about those movies in the near future, most probably not in such terrible English but in Chinese.:)
